iPhone 6S+ VS Note 5

Back with a new blog to suggest you between Apple iPhone 6S+ & Samsung Galaxy Note. Both the phones come with a big size that is 5.5" for iPhone 6s+ & Note 5 for 5.7" screens. 


I personally am never in favor of any phones which cross over 4" screen size. I prefer compact phones that fit pocket in both ways: Size & Budget. But I'm quite surprised by the performance and competition of the iPhone 6S+ VS Galaxy Note 5.

Apple on the first launch of big-sized iPhones that is iPhone 6 & 6+ earned a lot of profit with a very great success of iPhone 6 but 6+ is again considered to be not so hot phone. Apple entered the market of bigger screen size phones about 2.5 years ago when the demand for bigger screen sized phones increased making Samsung get very good sales over larger screen sized phones compared to small ones. 

Samsung has been called the king for the people who love to Design and create wonderful images with a pen. The Galaxy Note series had been a great success for Samsung since Day 1. Every new model of the Note series had always got huge demand in the smartphone market due to its numerous possibilities and easiness to use it. Galaxy Note Series was launched keeping in mind the work style of Architects, Artists & Designers in mind. And Yep! It changed their working style.  It made a lot of different cause now all their work shifted to one single device.

Talking specifically about iPhone 6s+ & Note 5 now :

Both phones are good up to their own Standards and Make Quality. 

I would suggest Samsung Galaxy Note 5 instead of iPhone 6s+ for this particular size of the phone. Samsung had got a grip on this kind of phone since the launch of Note 1. The ease of use of the long sized screen is easily comfortable in Note 5 compared to 6s+. The Stylus makes it all simple in Note 5. With the wonderful Stylus designed by Samsung with the help of Wacom which is one of the topmost Drawing Pad creators company. The Stylus makes Designing, Writing Notes & Creating Images very easy. It's very much convenient to use. It feels like writing via Pen on Paper. Also, the AMOLED Display of Samsung easily attracts our eyes. 

Compared to this, iPhone 6s+ does not have that much use of a bigger screen except for viewing videos. Note 5 has a multitasking feature that iPhone 6s+ doesn't have. With that Multitasking feature, it's so easy to use two applications together; especially it helps a lot in creating an image from a small part of another image. In iPhone 6s+ it's all hassle. Though Apple just introduced the new Apple Pencil it's not so convenient to roam talking a pencil separately the whole day. There ain't any slot to hold your Apple Pencil in iPhone like Note 5's stylus. Even if you forget your Stylus somewhere or drop it, your phone would start beeping. That's a really very helpful way not to lose a stylus.

So the people getting phones for Designing and other things should go for Note 5.

But as we all know that Samsung always brings a very Good Full of Features phone but Samsung Phones don't last long in life. So the people who need 5.5"+ Screen sized phones with a long life of their phones should rather go for Apple as the Quality of Hardware & Software are both optimized according to the need, unlike Samsung. Samsung often gives very strong Hardware support but the software needs a low one. Yep indeed high config phones are easy to catch customers' eyes but the life of such phones is never so good. Everything should be in a proper amount as required. Neither too More, Nor too less.

Average Life* :

iPhone 6s+      : 4 - 4.5 Years.

Galaxy Note 5 : 2.5 - 3 Years

*Average life of phone depends on the usage of the phone.

The battery life of the iPhone 6s+ is comparatively better than Note 5 but not too much difference in battery life.

Processor speed and smoothness of touch is surely better in iPhone 6s+ compared to Note 5 but against it features are more on Note 5 compared to iPhone 6s+

Screen Size :

iPhone 6s+      : 5.5 Inches

Galaxy Note 5 : 5.7 Inches

There is not much difference in the screen size of phones.

Operating System :

iPhone 6s+      : Apple iOS

Galaxy Note 5 : Google Android

iOS is a virus-free Secured OS. Chances of data leakage or corruption are very less in iOS compared to Android.

Prices :

iPhone 6s+      : Around INR 58,000 (16 GB)

Galaxy Note 5 : Around INR 47,900  (32 GB)

So on cost price iPhone is costly compared to Galaxy Note 5. That's Also a benefit of getting a Note 5 instead of an iPhone 6s+.

Note 5 undoubtedly wins over its great exterior looks compared to iPhone 6s+. Note 5 is made of glass and metal body a little similar to what Sir Steve Jobs used in making of iPhone 4. The Glass and Metal finished body looks astonishingly cool while holding the phone and the curve in the design is just IDEAL.

So comparing and combining all these results I who used to be an Apple Fanboy this time elect Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 over iPhone 6s+.
